We are focused on educating our foreign volunteers about the unique culture of the Philippines while they take the opportunity to immerse themselves and interact with our local communities through volunteering. All we ask is that our volunteers come with an open mind and are motivated to help others. Volunteer for the Visayans accommodates volunteers for as short at two weeks and up to six months. We can accommodate volunteers who have a two week break and are looking for an alternative vacation. All our volunteers are placed with host families, and interact with the local communities to see first hand what it is like to live with the locals in the Philippines. If you really want to help with a project or make an impact on the communities here, we recommend volunteering for at least a month. Volunteers can teach English in the schools, assist in an orphanage, volunteer with the street children, in the social welfare department or with the city nutrition office. We are open to other placements for our volunteers. If you have specific skills you would like to share with the people in the Philippines please contact us with your ideas!
